Driven and passionate to tell stories, Elli Raynai always wanted to be a filmmaker.
After finishing a film degree at Queen’s University and a Master’s in Creative Business Enterprises at Warwick University in the UK, he devoted himself to acquiring as much knowledge as possible about the production and post-production process. His debut film was Superdreams, a mockumentary comedy which he produced and directed. Since then he has edited and directed several experimental short films. The Return marks his first venture into the genre of horror filmmaking.
From a young age John Hislop started his career as an actor. Coming from a theater background, he moved into the film industry and landed a number of supporting roles in films such as "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind", "The List", and has worked on a number of television series. There he found his true passion in writing and film production. His debut film project is a documentary titled "The Power of Yoga - Mind, Body & Soul", which he produced and co-directed and has since produced and directed three other short films about speed-dating. John then joined forces with Elli Raynai where he co-produced and co-wrote his first horror film "The Return".
